Citizen of the Year
George Bailey, right, has been
selected by the People for a Better Atkins as the
2008 Citizen of the Year. He will be honored at the
March 7 meeting of PBA at the
W.J. Matthews Civic Center. The event begins at 7
p.m. and all friends of Bailey are encouraged to
come and congratulate him. Refreshments will be
served. Bailey is shown above with his wife, Mary
Anna Bailey, when they served as Grand Marshals of
the 2005 Atkins Christmas Parade.
